ANIMALS

Our animal project was designed to teach the basics of animal husbandry. In particular, our hogs were bred so that we could donate baby pigs to families who wished to raise their own animals. We carried 3 separate bloodlines. They were given away as babies so they could bond with their new owners.

Got milk?

Actually she is a beef cow, and was fed an experimental diet (under the supervision of a veterinarian) of vegetable trimmings, bread and hay. Note her excellent condition and that of the cow next to her.

Feeding time...someone is hungry. These piglets are destined to provide breeding stock for families that wished them. They were hand-reared and gentled so they were easier to farrow, having bonded and
become accustomed to humans early in life.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... pigs love to nap.
