FOOD PANTRY

In the United States, there is no reason why anyone should be hungry, given our level of waste as a nation. Look at what we discovered:

The food pantry was located in our barn which now is home to our food-fish project. All this food was discarded by supermarkets because of cosmetic blemishes or because it was at-code that day...but still perfectly edible. Prior to beginning our food recovery program, it was discarded into landfills.

A tractor-trailer load of potatoes ready for distribution. These are unmarketable culls - misshapen - but still perfectly good food.

Note: Due to the poor health of the director, food distribution is temporarily suspended. Donations are
needed for staff and a refrigerated truck to restart this valuable resource to the community.
