SERENDIPITY
This little demonstration for our
food pantry guests started it all. There was no filtration for the
fish and the water got REALLY nasty, so we periodically emptied
and dumped it on the strawberries in the background and replaced
it with fresh water. If you look closely, the edge of the tank is
about knee level...but look at the height and vigor of the strawberries!
The girl on our front page is about 5 tall...but just look
at the height of the raspberries by contrast... a full 18
down from the top of each cane is solid fruit-set...these also were
irrigated with dirty fish tank water. Conclusion: fish waste water
(effluent) has a tremendous stimulating effect on plant growth
and resultant food production....
